If you have suffered an injury while serving in any branch of the military, including the Reserves or the National Guard, you may be entitled to a lump sum, tax free cash payment of up to $100,000.00 within 180 days—even if the injury was not related to any military activity.

Eligibility

If you are insured under full-time SGLI, you are automatically covered by TSGLI. Traumatic Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (commonly referred to as TSGLI) coverage pays at least $25,000.00 and up to $100,000.00.  It applies to active duty members, reservists, National Guard members, funeral honors duty and one-day muster duty.

To be eligible for payment of TSGLI, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • You must be insured by SGLI (Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance) when you experience a traumatic injury.                    Most service members are automatically enrolled

  • You must have suffered an injury after October 7, 2001 and that injury must be a direct result of a traumatic event or accident while either on or off duty as long as you were active in the military at the time of the accident

  • You must have recieved medical treatment for the injury within 2 years (730 days) of the traumatic event or accident

What we do

Our office is committed to making servicemembers aware of this benefit, and helping qualified servicemembers receive it. We want to secure the compensation our injured warriors rightfully deserve in order to provide for themselves and their family. Unfortunately, the TSGLI office regularly denies legitimate claims, which is why we can help.

We are knowledgeable of TSGLI requirements and the related process. We will fight to get the benefits you deserve. We represent active-duty members and veterans with first claims and all appeals, even a review by a federal court, if determined necessary.  Also, there is no fee until we win your claim, and once we win, the fee is far below what most attorneys charge.

We use our skill and experience to get the best possible outcome for your TSGLI claim.  If you have not applied for TSGLI benefits, we will give you the best chance for success.  If you have been wrongfully denied, our office promises to pursue your appeal aggressively and to be a relentless advocate for you.  You are entitled to recieve between $25,000 and $100,000.00 within 180 business days of us submitting your application. Call and let us work for you.
